Things to Know When Using the Stomp-Toss
The Stomp-Toss has a fairly steep learning curve associated with it. The product is a coordination drill, not a swing trainer. Here is a list of things that can help you get the most out of the Stomp-Toss.
- Use it on level ground only.
- If using on a hard surface, the black hand with a small number "1" on it comes installed on the Stomp-Toss. That is likely the best one to use.
- If using on grass, switch out the number "1" hand for the black "2" hand that comes included in the box. This will throw the ball closer to the batter.
- Learn the proper stomp pressure before you swing
- It can be tricky to learn how hard to stomp to get the desired results. It is recommended that you stomp between 5 and 10 times before ever swinging.
- The product is plastic and the arm will break if you hit the hand chasing a low ball. Learning the pressure beforehand helps you to avoid making this mistake.
- Where you step matters.
- Step on the entire foot pad and the ball will throw closer to the batter.
- Step only on the end of the foot pad and the ball will throw further from the batter.
